Food Lifeline’s mission is simple: feed hungry people. This was my fifth year designing the pieces for the Dress Down Hunger warehouse party. This year was the best yet! The colors, lights, decor, games, music and festivities were the brightest they have EVER been. I had a blast selling raffle tickets and meeting people. I love everyone at Food Lifeline and am honored to still be a part of such an amazing event and cause.

This year’s Food Lifeline savor event was, unreal. We worked so hard on the print collateral, and it turned out beautiful! My sister and I volunteered at the event and met some awesome folks, including some of the best chefs in the world! I am such a foodie, when I meet these people, its like a kid meeting Mickey at Disneyland! Best thing of all? The event raised over $570,000. Amazing. I am always so honored to be part of such a great cause.

This year’s Dress Down Hunger event for Food Lifeline was in their brand new Hunger Solution Center and it was AMAZING! They raised over $250,000. That is enough money to provide over 1 million meals to the hungry! I was honored to work with their marketing team on the design of the event and it was so cool to see it all come to life. This year, I was invited by a board member, and friend, to be a guest! I got to meet some of the most amazing chef’s in Seattle and Chef Thierry Rautureau kissed my cheek! I think I will head over and have a celebratory Blood Mary at Loulay this weekend, they are incredible!

On September 9th,  I had the honor of attending the groundbreaking ceremony for Food Lifeline’s Hunger Solution Center. This new center is 190,000 square feet! There’s enough room to save 100 million pounds of food each year. That’s 83 million meals for hungry people. The event was a great success. I love spending time with my Food Lifeline friends, (that’s me and my friend Marie, a Food Lifeline volunteer). The absolute highlight for me was getting a chance to meet my favorite chef, Tom Douglas. He is a huge supporter for Food Lifeline and I am his biggest fan.
